PORTLAND, Ore. 07/14/2021 — Bestselling writer and producer Mark Millar (Jupiter's Legacy, Kingsman: The Secret Service) returns to the magical world he created as a live-action Netflix series to release the second volume in the comic book adaptation. Olivier Coipel (Amazing Spider-Man, Thor) was drafted in to draw the first volume in this five book set and delivered one of the best jobs of his career. Now legendary artist Stuart Immonen (Empress, Star Wars, New Avengers) is in the chair for the much-anticipated sequel. The Magic Order 2 #1 will launch this October from Image Comics.

"We've been working hard on The Magic Order show and comics for some time, picking all the right partners and trying to do the best job we can," said Millar. "A bucket-list has been ticked working with Olivier Coipel, a guy I've admired since we were both in our twenties, and now Stuart Immonen joins me for the sequel volume. Stuart's kind of the artist's artist's artist. Everyone I know is obsessed with him. So this is above and beyond an honour."

In this new story arc, a magical turf war like you've never seen before! The London chapter of the Magic Order has entered the scene, and these tough Guy Ritchie-style gangsters have a problem with the Eastern European Warlocks moving into their territory. Can new leader Cordelia Moonstone keep the peace?

The Magic Order 2 #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 27:
  • Cover A Immonen - Diamond Code AUG210027
  • Cover B Immonen B&W - Diamond Code AUG210028
  • Cover C Tocchini - Diamond Code AUG210029
  • Cover D Yildirim - Diamond Code AUG210030
  • Cover E blank cover - Diamond Code AUG210031
  • Cover F 1:10 copy incentive Chiarello - Diamond Code AUG210032

PORTLAND, Ore. 07/13/2021 — Bestselling writer John Arcudi (Rumble, B.P.R.D.) and fan-favorite artist Valerio Giangiordano’s popular historical horror series Two Moons will kick off a new story arc this October. Two Moons #6 will begin the next chapter in the hit series and will land on shelves from Image Comics just in time for Halloween and provide the perfect entry point for new readers to jump onto the series.

“The so-called 'Indian Wars' devastated the Indigenous Peoples of the American Plains, so this had to be a part of Two Moons’s story: the aftermath of those wars. How do the Plains People endure? What is their path forward after all this? That’s where this arc takes us," said Arcudi.

After years apart, Frances Shaw (now a medical doctor) and Virgil Two Moons (now a Pawnee shaman) are once again drawn to each other on the eve of an impending crisis in Two Moons #6.

Giangiordano added: "This new story arc allows me to discover and study more and more of the fascinating culture of Native Americans that I did not know. For me it is a fantastic experience to bring this 'world' to life."

Two Moons #6 Cover A by Giangiordano & Crabtree (Diamond Code AUG210043) and Two Moons #6 Cover B by Sook (Diamond Code AUG210044) will both be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 27.

Two Moons #6 will also be available for purchase across many digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play.

Two Moons, Vol. 1: The Iron Noose (ISBN: 978-1534319110) collects issues #1-5 of the series and will be available on Wednesday, August 18 and in bookstores on Tuesday, August 24. It can be pre-ordered at your local comic book shop or independent bookstore via Bookshop or IndieBound, or it can be pre-ordered on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, and Indigo.

Five Finger Death Punch Frontman Makes Literary Debut With An Illustrated Book of Original Poems in Time for Halloween, and Available to Preorder Now
NEW YORK, NY— Z2 Comics further cements their place as the leading publisher of music-inspired books and graphic novels across all genres and formats with the announcement of this book of original poetry from Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody!

Presented in an exquisite hardcover format, Ivan Moody’s Dirty Poetry will be released this fall, with signed special editions available exclusively through the Z2 website!

Ivan Moody says, “Out of all the projects I’ve undertaken this is something truly out of the ordinary, completely unorthodox, and without ‘creative walls.’ It is by far the oddest thing I’ve ever done (and that’s saying something).

I had no idea how this would turn out but thankfully - between Blake and myself - I’m ecstatic with this first edition of Dirty Poetry. I’m intrigued and excited to share this FULL DOSE of my thought provoking/chaotic and emotionally stimulating artistic vision with all of you.

 Welcome... to My rabbit hole.”

Ever wondered what really lies beyond “where the sidewalk ends?” From the wonderfully twisted mind of the front man of Five Finger Death Punch; Ivan Moody’s Dirty Poetry is a book of original poems punctuated with dark art that’s guaranteed to inspire upside-down dreamscapes in the minds of its readers. Written by Ivan Moody himself, with beautifully haunting ink and watercolor illustrations by Blake Armstrong, Z2 Comics offers this Halloween treat to readers everywhere this October!

Artist Blake Armstrong says, “Dirty Poetry definitely stands out as one of the more free and unique creative experiences I've had in my career. Ivan's overall vision for this book was so twisted and tantalizing it would have been hard to keep me away from it. Our collaboration was truly a blast and I think the love shows on every page. My only hope is that the readers enjoy the book at least half as much as we did working on it. It's gratifying to be a part of something so weird, unexpected and special.”

The Ivan Moody’s Dirty Poetry illustrated book comes in at 104 pages and will be released in a standard hardcover edition in comic shops and bookstores alike in October 2021, as well as special deluxe and super deluxe editions available for preorder now only through the Z2 website!

“A stinging, slow-creep horror comic where the chills rain like a highland downpour.”
—Patton Oswalt (Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., Writer, Comedian)

"I've always loved fairy tales that are as messed up and frightening as the old folklore. Double Walker is an expert piece of comic book horror, with stunning art, and a deep humanity grounding the horror.
Do not miss this book!"
—James Tynion IV (Batman, Department of Truth)

“With Double Walker, Noah Bailey and Michael W. Conrad have crafted an eerie folk-horror fairy tale of the darkest sort, tying ancient superstitions about the fae with modern fears of guilt, loss, responsibility and failure. Beautiful and moody art and smart characterization make this
something you need to check out as soon as possible.”
—Trevor Henderson (Horror Artist, Creator of Siren Head)

“A flawlessly crafted and unassuming mingling of energies. They have induced a world of neo-folk horror that pleases me to no end.”
—Skinner (Artist, Writer, Adult Swim)

"Conrad & Bailey. Shut up and buy it."
--Overlord (Strange Brain Parts, YouTube)

July 8, 2021 — New York, NY -- From writer Michael W. Conrad (Wonder Woman, Midnighter) and artist Noah Bailey, the creators of the acclaimed graphic novel Tremor Dose, comes an all-new original graphic novel: Double Walker. This mind-bending tale of neurotic folk horror written by Conrad and illustrated by Bailey, arrives July 13, 2021 from comiXology Originals, the exclusive digital content line of comiXology, an Amazon company, with lettering by Taylor Esposito and designs by Kyle Arends.

In Double Walker, Americans Cully and Gemma McCarthy decide to take one last trip before their carefree, childless days come to an end. Headed to the magical Scottish Highlands to hit up all the tourist locations, their romantic getaway soon spirals into a nightmare full of paranoia and violence. While staying at a B&B, the young couple soon find themselves at the local pub where they meet a barkeep who weaves tales of Scottish myths and legends and learn of a bizarre string of murders in the area. Haunted by the stories and their recent personal tragedy, their marriage is challenged, forcing them to confront their deepest, darkest fears.

Conrad has returned to his horror roots with Double Walker. “I have always been fascinated by psychology and human motivation, my background in the mental health field will always inform every story I tell," says Conrad. "While I love writing for mainstream comics, a book like Double Walker allows me to push myself further into the surreal, twisted, and often terrifying worlds where I feel most at home. The worlds Noah and I are able to create with comiXology Originals are our own, places where anything can happen, and no one is safe.”

Bailey’s traditional mixed media work is presented here with a fresh, dream-like take on the four-color palette. The artwork all at once lures you into the fantastic gloominess of the fairytale environments and violently attacks with vibrant scenes of brutality. Bailey provides Double Walker with a pace and tension rarely seen in Western comics.

“I fell in love with every character, every environment and every moment that Michael had concocted,” says Bailey, reflecting on his work on the material. “Michael wrote something that felt painfully real and raw, displaying all of the beautiful complexities of human relationships, pulling no punches in the moments of deep, diabolical darkness. I did everything in my power to produce pages that could convey my appreciation and love for the story and characters that he wrote.”

Together, Conrad and Bailey weave another twisted tale of identity, anxiety, and fear that will linger with readers day and night.

Tremor Dose arrives in print from Dark Horse Comics on November 30, 2021 and is available for pre-order now through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and your local comic shop.

July 8, 2021) The first issue of the twisted, dark fantasy saga GODKILLER: TOMORROW'S ASHES by writer Matteo Pizzolo and artist Anna Muckcracker has sold out on its first day of release despite a massive print run, and publisher Black Mask Studios is going back to press for a second printing ahead of the release of issue 2.

The second printing of GODKILLER: TOMORROW'S ASHES #1 will feature a new cover by Yasmin Flores Montanez and will be on sale on August 4.
Picture
Godkiller: Tomorrow's Ashes #1 2nd Ptg
by YASMIN FLORES MONTANEZ

GODKILLER: TOMORROW’S ASHES marks the return of the Godkiller saga created by Matteo Pizzolo and Anna Muckcracker as an underground comic in 2008, adapted into an animated film directed by Pizzolo and distributed by Warner Bros in 2011, then released to the direct market by Black Mask Studios starting in 2014.

This newest series provides a fresh jumping on point for new readers while continuing the saga for Godkiller's devoted fans.
In GODKILLER: TOMORROW’S ASHES, orphan Tommy continues his quest to find a new heart for his dying sister, but he’s been captured by The Republic. Anti-heroine Halfpipe wants to rescue Tommy, but she’ll need help from mysterious bounty hunter Soledad, who’s not exactly in the helping-people business. From Matteo Pizzolo (CALEXIT) and Anna Muckcracker, the comic that Zac Thompson said "pushed me further than I've ever been pushed" returns to ratchet up the chaos and roar through the comic market, spitting punk rock fury, thundering into your eyeballs and running roughshod across your brains with its often mindbending, sometimes horrifying, always clever & devious tale of sci-fi magic, apocalyptic sex, and subversive mindbombs.

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 6, 2021) –  BOOM! Studios today revealed a first look at THE MANY DEATHS OF LAILA STARR #4, the next issue in the highly acclaimed original series from  writer Ram V (Swamp Thing, Blue in Green) and artist Filipe Andrade (Captain Marvel), with letterer AndWorld Design, that explores the fine line between living and dying in Mumbai through the lens of magical realism, available in July 2021.

The mortal incarnation of Death, Laila Starr, must confront the cruel nature of her role in the universe when she once again encounters the future creator of immortality who is drawing ever closer to his destiny.
