From Eisner Award-winning writer James Robinson (AIRBOY, Starman) and artist extraordinaire J. Bone (The Rocketeer: Hollywood Horror) comes THE SAVIORS TP, which collects the first five issues of the alien conspiracy adventure story, this October from Image Comics.

When Tomas Ramirez stumbles upon an extraterrestrial conspiracy to take over the world, his life is forever altered. Now he’s banding together with those other few souls who share the knowledge that we are under attack as they attempt to defeat a shadowy alien cabal that is both indestructible and eager to kill anyone who threatens it.

It can be ordered by retailers with Diamond code AUG160700, and it is available for preorder on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Indiebound, and Indigo.

PRAISE FOR THE SAVIORS:

“This is a truly unique book, and an exceptionally fun read.” —TM Stash

“A little bit classic sci-fi thriller throwback and part visionary exploration of a concept nearly as old as fiction itself.” —Comic Book Resources

ONE WEEK IN THE LIBRARYAND READERS WILL NEVER WANT TO LEAVE

An original graphic novella
filled with enchanting stories come to life

Writer W. Maxwell Prince and artist John Amor (Judas: The Last Days) bring an original graphic novella, ONE WEEK IN THE LIBRARY, to Image Comics this December.

ONE WEEK IN THE LIBRARY is an experimental graphic novella which recounts a troublesome week in a magical Library via seven short stories—one for each day—that use comics, infographics, prose, and poetry to play with the graphic medium and explore the multivalent world of living narrative.

“Telling stories isn’t easy for me,” said W. Maxwell Prince. “I often find myself really interested in one thing, but then boring of that quickly and moving on to something completely different. This book allowed me to embrace that attention deficit while simultaneously building something with a solid center. The end result, I think, is really fun. It doesn’t move in the ways that comics usually do, but it’s still identifiably a comic book. Except for when it’s not, of course.”

Welcome to the Library. It’s here that every story ever written is catalogued and monitored by a single man, who’s begun to notice something strange: the books are rebelling.

ONE WEEK IN THE LIBRARY with cover art by Frazer Irving (Diamond Code SEP160780) will hit comic book stores on Wednesday, December 7th. The final order cutoff deadline for retailers is Monday, October 24th.

ONE WEEK IN THE LIBRARY trade paperback (ISBN 978-1-5343-0022-4) can also be pre-ordered on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Indiebound, and Indigo.

These bank robbers will steal readers’ hearts
Creators Frank J. Barbiere (FIVE GHOSTS, The Revisionist) and artist Victor Santos (THE MICE TEMPLAR, Polar) team up for a fresh, pulp-infused criminal romance in VIOLENT LOVE. The new ongoing series is set to launch from Image Comics this November.

In VIOLENT LOVE, readers meet Daisy Jane and Rock Bradley—two of the most notorious bank robbers in the American Southwest. And then they fell in love.

“Violent Love is a dream project for me in a lot of ways. First and foremost, I think Victor is one of the most talented graphic storytellers around, and it’s an honor to be collaborating with him and have him as my co-creator on Violent Love,” said Barbiere. “I’m also thrilled to be back at Image where I launched my career in comics. I’m a big fan of crime in comics, and I think it’s very important to find something new and interesting to say within the genre. With Violent Love, we’re bringing a unique style, story structure, and romantic angle to crime comics—we can’t wait for you to fall in love with these characters and see where our story goes."

Santos added: "My first work in the U.S. was at Image—a graphic novel titled Zombee. This was ten years ago, Image was different but promising. Later I worked on Mice Templar for almost five years. I am proud of how Image has been linked to my career, always giving me the chance to develop personal projects. Now with Violent Love, I am a more experienced artist and can again work with a close collaborator—a talented writer and a good friend—on the kind of stories I love to do and read. This book has the big words: Romance, Crime, Violence, Betrayal, and Love. I'm sure you’ll fall in love with this couple of rebel souls."

VIOLENT LOVE begins the adventure with a double-sized issue that oozes style and will rope readers in with its fast-paced action.

VIOLENT LOVE #1 Cover A (Diamond Code SEP160635) and Cover B (Diamond Code SEP160636) will hit comic book stores on Wednesday, November 9th. The final order cutoff deadline for retailers is Monday, October 17th.

Delta Green Wins Multiple ENnie Awards

Award winning publisher Arc Dream announced today that their first two Delta Green products since rebooting the game line via Kickstarter both won ENnie Awards. Delta Green: Need to Know won the gold medal for Best Free Product and Delta Green: Agent’s Handbook won the silver medal for best supplement. The Gen Con EN World RPG Awards (the “ENnies”) are an annual fan-based celebration of excellence in tabletop roleplaying gaming. The ENnies give game designers, writers and artists the recognition they deserve. It is a peoples’ choice award, and the final winners are voted upon online by the gaming public.

Arc Dream editor and writer Shane Ivey remarked, “When we relaunched Delta Green on Kickstarter, we were amazed by the results. Delta Green fans waited years for their favorite game to come back. We had to make sure and not disappoint them.”

Delta Green products are available digtally via RPG NOW (www.rpgnow.com) and in print from Studio 2 (www.studio2publishing.com)

About Delta Green:
Deception is a right. Truth is a privilege. Innocence is a luxury. Born of the U.S. government’s 1928 raid on the degenerate coastal town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts, the covert agency known as Delta Green spent four decades opposing the forces of darkness with honor, but without glory. Stripped of sanction after a disastrous 1969 operation in Cambodia, Delta Green’s leaders made a secret pact: to continue their work without authority, without support, and without fear. Delta Green agents slip through the system, manipulating the federal bureaucracy while pushing the darkness back for another day -- but often at a shattering personal cost.

Dark Horse to Publish Mark Perez’s “How to Win at Life by Cheating at Everything”

MILWAUKIE, Ore., (August 25, 2016)—Dark Horse is proud to announce it is branching into the self-help book market with How to Win at Life by Cheating at Everything by Mark Perez (Accepted, Coach). Scott Shaw (The Flintstones, Captain Carrot) lends his Emmy Award–winning illustration skills to the Hollywood screenwriter’s debut illustrated prose book, a humorous how-to for burgeoning criminals.

The satirical novel follows the adventures of one of the most notorious con men in the United States. Jonathan Dough (an alias, of course) relates to Perez stories from his turbulent upbringing and entertaining adulthood. In addition to the personal tales, Dough also shows how to commit crimes and pull off successful cons. The result is an in-depth and fascinating explanation of the glorious world of grift, the science behind scams, and most importantly, how to be a successful criminal.

Mark Perez explained his decision to write an illustrated novel: “I think the bummer about being a screenwriter is you need to be totally cool with the fact that most movies don’t get made. Maybe that particular script you’ve been working on for a year, the one that’s made you crazy and almost ended your marriage, will probably only be read by about four or five people (people who read ten or more scripts a day). It’s a real bummer creatively. So, when the idea came along for writing a book, I was intrigued by the fact that maybe more than four or five people would actually be reading my words. There was a different motivation behind writing the novel, something I hadn’t felt in years: the guarantee of an audience.”
How to Win at Life by Cheating at Everything goes on sale March 8, 2017.
