Written by Christos Gage with concept and story consultation from Chief Creative Officer of Epic, Donald Mustard, this miniseries features art by Reilly Brown, Christian Duce,  Nelson DeCastro, and John Kalisz. The main cover for issue #1 main cover is provided by Mikel Janín (Batman, Wonder Woman, Future State: Superman – Worlds at War) and the variant cover by Kenneth Rocafort (Sideways). Mustard will also provide premium variant covers for each issue of the series (check local comic shops for availability), and future variant covers will be provided by an impressive lineup of artistic talent, including Arthur Adams, Jim Lee, Amanda Conner, and others.

“When DC first approached me about doing a Batman/Fortnite series I thought it would be a lot of fun,” said series writer Christos Gage. ”After speaking with Donald and discovering just how deeply we'd be diving into the secrets behind the world of Fortnite, I was amazed! This series will reveal things about Fortnite  that have never been seen or heard before yet are very much part of the canon of the game.”

“I’m also looking forward to integrating other DC Super Heroes into the series, characters that Batman has existing relations with,” Gage continued. “It’ll be exciting to share with fans how these relationships will be reshaped in this new world. The art by Reilly, Christian, Nelson, and John is stunning, and my prediction is that this series will blow everybody’s mind, whether you’re a fan of DC, Batman or Fortnite.”

A crack splits the sky above Gotham City... a tear in reality itself. This rift pulls the Dark Knight into a bizarre and unfamiliar world, with no memory of who he is or where he came from...Batman has been drawn into Fortnite!
As he fights to recall his past and escape an endless loop of chaos and struggle, he’ll come face-to-face with the likes of Renegade Raider, Fishstick, Bandolier, and more. While the world's greatest detective strives to make sense of this strange new world, he’ll uncover the shocking truth about the Island, what lies beyond the Loop, and how everything is connected to the mysterious Zero Point.

Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point uncovers secrets never before revealed in game or anywhere else! Every fan of Batman, Fortnite, stunning art and edge-of-your-seat excitement won't want to miss the Caped Crusader facing off against Fortnite champions on the Island, in a desperate attempt to save not only himself, but other familiar faces from the DCU…and perhaps the Multiverse itself!

"When developing this project with DC, our mutual goal from day one has been to tell an awesome and authentic Batman story first and foremost," said Donald Mustard, Chief Creative Officer for Epic Games. "Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point explores what would happen if you trapped the World’s Greatest Detective somewhere with no memory of who he is, in an environment that's constantly changing. I can’t wait for readers to discover all the surprises, twists, and mysteries that we have in store for them!"

Devil’s Due Comics to Produce a Whole Goddamn Slate of Comics for Show’s 20th Anniversary

[CHICAGO, IL — Feb 17, 2021] Devil’s Due Comics and Trailer Park Boys Incorporated have inked a big fancy partnership to debut the fucking Canadian comedy trio in a bunch of greasy comics n’ shit. Launching with some kinda Preview Book in the spring, plans include a wicked Special Edition anthology, one-shots and miniseries beginning in Fall 2021, allowing a group of comic artists and writey people who watch the fuckin’ show to contribute short stories. It’s gonna be decent. The debut issue is now available for goddamned preorder at www.TrailerParkComics.com.

Seeing they already did a bunch of other fucked up crazy comics like Family Guy, Troma comics, or that devil chick who says "fuck" a lot Mercy Sparx, is what drew the show’s hot shot licensing managers to the publisher. Devil’s Due and Trailer Park Boys have no plans to hold back on including as much debauchery and drunken antics that you’ll find in any episode, and plan to build some exciting events around the launch of the comics. As long as shit’s still not all fucky from Corona.

“This is the perfect project for us, and I have the ultimate respect for what the Boys have built from the grass roots into a true phenomenon,” says publisher Josh Blaylock, being all fancy-like. “We’re going to have a lot of fun with the kind of stories we can tell, marketing stunts we can pull, and talented comic pro fans of the show we’ll be working with.” Devil’s Due will also be producing limited posters/prints and enamel pins and shit using art from the comics.

“We were looking at these shows and cartoons and I said to Julian and Bubbles, how in the actual fuck don’t we have a comic yet?" notes Ricky. “I mean, Keanu Fucking Reeves has like two now, and there’s three of us. That means we should have like … thirteen?”

Swearnet, the Trailer Park Boys’ online comedy network, recently launched the 13th fucking season of the live action series, entitled Trailer Park Boys: Jail. The first 12 seasons, as well as the animated series, continue to air on Netflix. A podcast, Park After Dark, airs weekly and has garnered over 16 million downloads in its first year. And don’t forget the Boys' social media network of fucktons of millions of followers, which will be engaging with the fanbase to increase awareness of the comic books.

Steve Orlando's "The Kitchen Witch" returns!

Before he wrote Batman, Wonder Woman, or the Martian Manhunter, writer Steve Orlando collaborated with artist Olivia Pelaez for an all-ages graphic novel about a young boy who discovers the fantastical world where all great cooking ideas come from, and its guardian, the Kitchen Witch. It's a fantastical adventure combining Scandinavian folklore with raw childhood imagination and emotion. A Manhattan kitchen's geography becomes a fantasy landscape where hanging pots become floating iron islands and grills become steaming ore fields - a new Narnia garnished with culinary flourishes.

The Kitchen Witch is for every boy who idolizes his father. The night before the opening of his dad's new restaurant, Kevin sneaks down to the kitchen and enters the fantastic world within its walls. There, the Gremlin Lord has stolen his secret family ingredient. To get it back, Kevin and Lovis, the Kitchen Witch, battle their way through towering mouse beasts, bacteria bandits, and fruit flywaymen. This is the distillation of childhood, where the fantastic still waits around any corner.

TIME BEFORE TIME—A HIGH STAKES TIME TRAVEL SCIENCE FICTION SERIES SET TO LAUNCH THIS MAY

2/19/2021

Picture
PORTLAND, Ore. 02/19/2021 — From the bestselling writer/artist Declan Shalvey (Bog Bodies) and Write It In Blood team Rory McConville and Joe Palmer comes an all new science fiction story in Time Before Time. This ongoing time travel series will launch from Image Comics this May.

Best described as Criminal meets Back to the Future and Looper, this high octane, extra-length debut issue will feature an alternate cover by artist John Paul Leon.

"I loved what this team did on Write It In Blood so I'm really excited to take that crew and work on something more ambitious," said Shalvey in an exclusive scoop on the announcement at IGN. "This is a book with miles of potential, brilliantly realized by Joe Palmer and Chris O'Halloran. Their work to me, looks like the baby of Aeon Flux and Hellboy. I think readers will enjoy the gorgeous pages, but also the core story that follows Tatsuo into a more and more complicated set of troubles. With Time Before Time, Rory and myself get to write a crime drama that's injected with even more dramatic twists and the compelling visuals that sci-fi provides."

In Time Before Time, it’s the year 2140, and to escape a world with no future, many turn to the Syndicate, a criminal organization who, for the right price, will smuggle you back in time to a better life. After working for the Syndicate for years, Tatsuo and Oscar decide to steal one of their boss’s time machines—but soon find that the one thing you can’t run from is your past.McConville told IGN: "It’s been great to reunite with the Write It In Blood team, as well as collaborating with Declan, whose work I’ve been a huge fan of for years. Time travel stories are my favourite type of sci-fi and getting to write one with so many twists and turns is incredibly thrilling. Joe and Chris continue to be a fantastic combo and I can’t wait for people to see some of the eye-popping pages they’ve been working on."

"In Time Before Time, Declan and Rory have written a time hopping adventure in which the past can’t be altered, so the emotional stakes are always high," said Palmer. "The whole team has put a lot of love into this book, and I’m really excited for readers to be able to get their hands on it. Buckle up, because this wild ride goes all over the place."

Time Before Time #1 Cover A by Shalvey (Diamond Code MAR210037) and Time Before Time #1 Cover B by John Paul Leon (Diamond Code MAR210038)will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, May 12.

Time Before Time #1 will also be available for purchase across many digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play.
Early praise for Time Before Time:

"Achingly good. This book crackles with the unique energy of a creative team that knows exactly what it's trying to do, and pulls it off with exhilarating levels of skill. Time-traveling criminals fighting gang wars across millennia, done in the smartest possible way. Love it." --Charles Soule, Undiscovered Country, Curse Words

“The most fun, inventive, razor sharp crime adventure I’ve read in years. Jump in and hang on, it doesn’t get better than this.” --Darcy Van Poelgeest, Little Bird, forthcoming Precious Metal

"A unique, high-concept mash-up of time travel and crime story, with beautiful craftsmanship from the entire creative team. If you love comics like Criminal and movies like Looper, run don't walk to your local comic shop to grab this book!" --Robbie Thompson, Meet The Skrulls, Suicide Squad

“Right up there with Looper, Primer and 12 Monkeys—whip smart, engaging and timeless.” --Kyle Higgins, Radiant Black, Ultraman

"A time travelling crime thriller with an endearing protagonist caught in machinations bigger than himself. Declan, Rory and Joe have crafted a timeless crime story set across all of time and told with style and panache!" --Ram V, Swamp Thing, Blue In Green

“Shreds the tropes of time travel down to the raw bone and gives you a lean and mean corkscrew tale of hardbitten survival through centuries, where years act like stash houses and the future and past bleed together into a harrowing present that marches ever forward, forever unforgiving.” --Christopher Cantwell, Iron Man, Halt and Catch Fire

Award-Winning Author Victor LaValle Announces New Original Series EVE

Discover a New Original Series from the Creator of ‘Victor LaValle’s Destroyer’ in May 2021

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 18, 2021) –  BOOM! Studios today announced EVE, a brand new five-issue original series from award-winning author Victor LaValle (Victor LaValle’s Destroyer) and rising star artist Jo Mi-Gyeong (Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance) about a dangerous journey across a future dystopian America to save the world, available in May 2021.

When the ice caps melted, most of humanity was lost to the hidden disease that was released. Now, a mysterious girl named Eve has awoken in secret and must deal with a world that’s nothing like the virtual reality she was raised in. In order to save her father, Eve must embark on a deadly quest across the country, but she has no idea of the threats that await her - or the price she will pay to restore life to a dying planet...

Victor LaValle is the author of seven works of fiction including The Ballad of Black Tom, which was a finalist for a Nebula Award, a Hugo Award, a Bram Stoker Award, and the Theodore Sturgeon Award. His latest novel, The Changeling, was released in June 2017. His other books have won the American Book Award, the Shirley Jackson Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Key to Southeast Queens. LaValle is also the writer of the acclaimed comic book series Victor LaValle’s Destroyer with BOOM! Studios. He teaches at Columbia University and lives in New York City with his wife and kids.

“What kind of planet are we leaving to our kids? This is the question that spawned my comic book. It’s an old one, of course. Many generations have wrestled with it, but the question has never been as immediate,” said LaValle. “But I didn’t want to write some grim story about how this joint went to hell. Instead, I wanted to write a story about how we let the planet fall apart and left it to the younger generations to fix it. So this is a story, inspired by young folks like Mari Copeny, Elsa Mengistu, Greta Thunberg and so many more, of how an eleven-year-old girl, EVE, and her android teddy bear try to do the seemingly impossible: save the planet, save us.”

Jo Mi-Gyeong is a comic artist and illustrator based out of Seoul, Korea, best known for her work on Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance for BOOM! Studios and the original comic book series Beastlands.

“A new kind of apocalyptic landscape awaits our hero EVE and her strange teddy bear in this brand new world full of the weird and the unthinkable,” said Mi-Gyeong. “I had a lot of fun illustrating this fascinating world that Victor built, and I can't wait to show you all a future beyond your wildest imagination!”

EVE #1 features main cover art by artist Ario Anindito (Star Wars: The High Republic) and variant covers by famed illustrator Yuko Shimizu (Dracula, Motherfxxker), and acclaimed artist InHyuk Lee (Magic, Mighty Morphin).

“Victor is a visionary writer who brings a sense of realism and heart to the sci-fi and horror stories he crafts,” said Eric Harburn, Senior Editor, BOOM! Studios. “He and Jo have created a beautiful, haunting world for EVE that is no less prophetic for being fictional, in a series that addresses one of the most pressing concerns of humanity today.”

EVE is the newest release from BOOM! Studios’ eponymous imprint, home to critically acclaimed original series, including BRZRKR by Keanu Reeves, Matt Kindt, and Ron Garney; We Only Find Them When They’re Dead by Al Ewing and Simone Di Meo; Seven Secrets by Tom Taylor and Daniele Di Nicuolo; Something is Killing the Children by James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera; Once & Future by Kieron Gillen and Dan Mora; Faithless by Brian Azzarello and Maria Llovet; and Abbott by Saladin Ahmed and Sami Kivelä. I can't thank all our fans and retailers enough for all the love and support!” says Kevin Eastman, co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and main creative force behind The Last Ronin. “The whole team set out to create something extra special with this series, and the fan reaction has made us even more committed to ensuring that The Last Ronin is not only everything you were hoping for in a tough-as-nails TMNT story, but worth the wait! We are chest deep in the next issue and can't wait for your thoughts when it hits the streets.”

In anticipation of a rapid sell-through of issue #2's first printing, IDW has already committed to a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin #2 Second Printing featuring new cover artwork illustrated by the Escorza brothers. Slated for release on March 31st, the Second Printing is now listed via Diamond for retailer pre-order (Item Code: DEC209476, UPC 82771401991900212).

Three decades in the making, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is based on an unpublished 1987 story concept by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird; with script by Eastman and Tom Waltz; layouts by Eastman; pencils and inks by Esau Escorza, Isaac Escorza, and Ben Bishop; colors by Luis Antonio Delgado, and letters by Shawn Lee.

The Last Ronin is a five-part comic book miniseries shipping quarterly, with each oversized issue measuring 7” x 11” and 48 pages in length. The high demand for issue #1 has led to multiple printings and over 200,000 copies in the market. A special 64-page Director’s Cut edition will be released on March 17th, including the full story from issue #1 plus bonus content (character designs, script pages, and much more).

“The interest in this series is a wonderful testament to all the hard work that the creative team is putting into the series. Everyone is working at the peak of their abilities and have hit a great stride. Issue #2, which features several crucial flashbacks, is a perfect showcase of the creators’ work melding together in a truly memorable way,” says Group Editor Bobby Curnow.
