Tom Taylor is a #1 New York Times bestselling author and a multi-award winning playwright and screenwriter. Christopher Sebela is a three-time Eisner-nominated writer, designer and publisher born in the Midwest and living in Portland, Oregon. Having started out writing journalism and novels that no one will ever read, he’s the co-creator of original comics like Crowded, Test, Shanghai Red, High Crimes, House Amok, Cold War, Heartthrob, We(l)come Back, Dead Letters, Short Order Crooks, and The Death Defying. He is also father to a blockheaded dog named Zola who is the best dog in the world.
 
Ben Sears is an illustrator who was last seen in Kentucky. No reward if found. 
 
Warren Wucinich is an illustrator, colorist, and part-time carny currently living in Dallas, TX. When not making comics he can usually be found watching old Twilight Zone episodes and eating large amounts of pie.
 
Colorist Ryan Hill lives in North Hills, California and has worked in comics in some form or another for over a decade. He’s been coloring for the last few years and hopes he’s good at it. He knows Dex tends to roam around Alberta a lot but thinks at some point she should try drinking at North Bar around 50th and Division ‘cause that’s his favorite bar.

[CHICAGO — May 14, 2020] Chicago Creative studio House of Logic and New York record label and lifestyle brand 36 Chambers have found a publisher for their new comic book project, Samurai in a Hoodie, in Devil’s Due Comics. House of Logic, Co-Founded by Artist Glyph Sputnik, and 36 Chambers, co-founded and operated by Wu-Tang’s RZA will be working with Devil’s Due founder Josh Blaylock to develop Samurai as a 360 degree brand featured in comics, music, apparel, and entertainment.

Samurai explores themes of being a loner and outsider while surrounded by millions of people in an urban metropolis, the humor it sometimes takes to survive in the inner city, and intense, supernatural martial arts action from cover to cover.

Sputnik, whose comic combines classic American Comics, Manga, and Afrofuturism, is joined by co-collaborators Nikiya Price (Sputnik’s Co-Founder and sister, hailing from the worlds of academic publishing and product development), RZA, Mustafa Shaikh - Co-Founder of 36 Chambers, and Amby Warhol - Chicago based creative and Editor at House of Logic.

Devil’s Due Comics’ founder Josh Blaylock brings over twenty years of publishing and licensing experience, having worked with large brands from Family Guy to Transformers, to revitalizing the G.I.Joe brand in comics in the early 2000s, and will be joining the House of Logic team to develop and license Samurai in a Hoodie.

In the wake of Covid-19, a release date has not yet been set for the comic book series, but an inaugural release is planned for late Fall, with production well underway.
