PORTLAND, Ore. 07/25/2020 — Image Comics congratulates all the nominees of last night’s Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards and thanks readers, retailers, librarians, media, and members of the industry for the ongoing support of creator-owned comics.

Bitter Root, by Chuck Brown, David F. Walker, and Sanford Greene, was honored with the “Best Continuing Series” award while Darcy Van Poelgeest and Ian Bertram’s Little Bird landed the “Best Limited Series” award. 

Emma Ríos was recognized for her work on Pretty Deadly with the “Best Cover Artist” award and Dave Stewart, of such series as Gideon Falls, won the “Best Coloring” category.

The Will Eisner Comic Industry awards are voted on by comics industry members and the awards ceremony is held in conjunction with San Diego Comic-Con International every year.

In the debut issue, Marty McFly returns from the adventure of a lifetime to a new, better Hill Valley… that is, until Marty and his friend Doc Brown's time machine attracts the attention of the Decepticons. With one small mistake, Marty finds himself once again thrust into action to unravel a Decepticon plot in the past, present, and future... now with the help of a new converting time machine, the Autobot called Gigawatt!

About the Creator:
Bob Scott lives in both the world of comic strips and animation. Born in Detroit, Bob began drawing at a young age, copying what he saw in the funny pages. Acceptance and graduation from California Institute of the Arts opened the world of character animation for Bob. He has worked over 35 years in the industry as an animator, character designer, storyboard artist and voice talent. His credits can be found on projects from Warner Brothers’ Bugs Bunny in Box Office Bunny (1990), Turner Animation’s Cat’s Don’t Dance and Pixar’s The Incredibles. He has worked for Jim Davis, co-penciling U.S. Acres and co-directing Garfield: His 9 Lives. Bob has always wanted a comic strip of his own, and so Bear with Me (aka Molly and the Bear) was born and became a syndicated webcomic in 2010.

Image Comics/Skybound Entertainment will revisit the historic independent series that took the entertainment world by storm 17 years ago--The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman (Fire Power, Oblivion Song) and Charlie Adlard (Vampire State Building)—with newly, fully colored issues. Featuring the stunning work of the masterful Dave McCaig, these new issues will launch in October with The Walking Dead Deluxe #1. Kirkman first announced the fully colored issues during Skybound Xpo, Skybound’s virtual pop-culture convention, earlier today.
 
This deluxe revival of the series will also feature a memorable array of variant covers—by such artists as David Finch, Tony Moore, Julian Totino Tedesco, and Arthur Adams—commemorating major character introductions and the series’ most memorable twists and turns. Each issue will include a new installment of “The Cutting Room Floor,” featuring Kirkman's original handwritten plots along with commentary on abandoned storylines and plot points that may have changed along the way.  
 
This definitive presentation of the story will NOT be collected into trade paperback any time soon, so fans and new readers should not trade-wait to experience this fully colored edition of the popular survival horror series. Issue #1 will be available on October 7. Each following month two issues will be released.
