Well it seems this is the week to completely throw me off guard as stories like this one take a wild hair out of the tuchus and go totally off the rails. I have no idea what’s in the water right now but someone pour me a big old jug of it cause I wanna be trippin like this. So from what we’ve learned last issue is that there have been caches of automobiles and such under pyramids and places of importance that should be theoretically impossible. Two best buds with a penchant for science and time travel and they went on the trip of a lifetime only it went wrong right off the bat.
None of what we really learned last issue seems to have really happened because well when time travel is involved and two basically grown men frat boys have power over time and space well all bets are off. I’ve read this issue three times now and I’m on my fourth as I write this review and I still can’t fully wrap my mind around it all. So many paradoxes, so many this isn’t right moments so much mucking about with history that I wouldn’t be surprised if everything broke and the world ended.
Sean yeah he’s pretty good with the pen and ink stuff too and showing us all these different technologies in the hands of people that shouldn’t have them in eras they don’t belong and it’s pretty damn wild stuff. It’s just weird to see like ancient Babylon with cars driving around and parking letting off the fighters who just took out like Egyptians who only horses and chariots it’s has that mixture of cool and that’s not right to it.
Well alright I can see Corbin being the troublemaker of the two and the Frat Brother influence he seems to have well that isn’t so surprising. What was is the fact that this wrong on so many levels and yet it was completely fun after last issue I wouldn’t have thought this was the road they’d have traveled. Plus is this a case of they found their toys hidden away and then turned around found a way to get there and made sure the toys were found? Oh time travel is a bit of a headache isn’t it but it’s almost as if they did this to and for themselves. If not then I’ll be interested in seeing who is.
Meanwhile back on the farm shut off and trying to figure out a way to chase the boys and fix what they are doing, these are scientists just waiting for the other shoe to drop after all. We aren’t spending that much time on them right now which is okay since we really need to focus on the boys and what they are doing with all of time at their fingertips. It kind of reminds me of that whole power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely saying. So the unexpected turn of events that we’ve seen happen are delightful and make this more interesting than I had originally thought and that in itself is saying something considering how good the first issue was.
