Together, the Halliwell sisters have access to the greatest source of pure magic the world has known: the Power of Three. But now that their eldest sister Prue has been resurrected, a strange magic threatens to tear them apart.
Knox is back. Leo’s life is on the line. Prue’s getting all sorts of creepy. And a new, horrible, decidedly Old villain rises…
There’s always a good time for a one and done story especially when it ties in to what has been going on previously. Before Cole’s death he and Leo went to see Knox and they struck a deal and now Knox is here to call in the favour of the Charmed Ones for Leo’s soul. Sometimes a character like Knox comes along and he’s piece of work alright but he’s also not really the bad guy or the good guy just an opportunist whose personality of being out for himself rubs people the wrong way and yet whenever he shows up you are kind of glad because something is going to happen.
So the revelation of what Leo and Cole negotiated with Knox comes to life. Only now Knox needs the girls help becuase he himself has a soul agreement only his is with a foe the girls have vanquished before Gaxageal. We learn the circumstances of Knox soul agreement as well as his background the son of a witch and a warlock and how when things at home went sour whom he turned to for magical guidance.
After a long absence Aldar Kose returned and wanted to resurrect the old ones and was going to use his school to do it. Knox runs his school for all students of a magical nature, good bad or in between doesn’t matter in his own way he cherishes life and the differences we all possess and Kose is a threat to that and the students at Knox Academy. Knox needs their help or with the return of the old ones things will descend into chaos.
I have to admit I rather enjoy seeing them all going off to do what they do best and try to reconoiter the scene and get in touch with contacts looking for answers. The only hiccup comes from Prue whose isolation and abandonment at the hands of her sisters looks likes it is coming to a boil. It’s a story that will have to be told sooner rather than later.
Meanwhile Piper goes to talk to Kose and things go from bad to worse. The fight at Knox Academy doesn’t go as planned but the end result is the same. Knox saves his students and while seemingly dies Leo doesn’t so there’s that little bit of conundrum but the girls have a habit of not looking too deeply into things.
This is a fun issue it feels like a classic television episode complete with a roundabout win and then not thinking about why. Knox isn’t gone or Leo would be as well so that means we haven’t seen the last of him and i’m kind of excited about that but then there’s the whole what did Kose do to him and how much will he have changed?
