Maia’s short comics have been included in the anthologies ALPHABET (2015), TABULA IDEM (2017), MINE! TONAWANDA, NY (May 14, 2019): Creation.Ink brands Sleeping Giant Collectables and sister company Ominous Press will have an impressive presence at this weekend’s Nickel City Con in Buffalo, NY. Set up in a huge booth measuring 20 feet by 20 feet at space #101, Sleeping Giant will offer a wide array of collectables including rare, signed and graded comics, variant covers, and much, much more.

Sleeping Giant will also be the exclusive provider of CGC services, including witnessing, for Nickel City Con. Anyone wishing to have comics graded or signatures witnessed should make their way to booth #101.

I wanted to send an update with some big news about Big Easy Con. We are committed to providing the best experience for our fans, guests, and exhibitors, and because of this, we are moving Big Easy Con to November 1-3, 2019.


We've heard from our fans that they want a three-day show with additional guests and we have the opportunity to change our current dates to assure we can create an enjoyable and valuable experience for the entire NOLA community. Moving to November, will allow us more space in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and A THIRD DAY— making Big Easy Con bigger than ever!


In other big news, Zachary Levi will be joining us in November.

Nichelle Nichols is adding the 2019 Cincinnati Comic Expo as part of her final full year of convention visits!
Most recognized as Lt Uhura, she has been a starring fixture of the Star Trek franchise for decades. She has carried the role through television, films, video games, and more. Her casting broke barriers and made history.

Outside of her mission "to explore strange new worlds," Nichelle has appeared in Batman: The Animated Series, Gargoyles, Spider-Man: The Animated Series, Futurama as herself, Heroes, Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, and more. The two-day weekend event will celebrate the art of gaming, sci-fi, cosplay, fantasy, and everything in between at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2. Fans will be able to explore hundreds of hours of programs including: celebrity and expert-driven panels discussions; exclusive reveals; cosplay fashion shows; gaming tournaments; iconic pop culture art exhibits; video game showdowns; and a diverse array of activities for fans of all ages.
Family-friendly pavilion Big Easy Con Jr.presented by the Toy Association brings new and beloved toy and pop culture brands together in one area for an interactive and fun-filled live event open to kids and parents alike.
