‘The Crow’ Creator Has Drawn 22nd Cover In 2015 Series Available At Kentucky International Convention Center For Full-Price Attendees; VIP Fans Get Additional B&W Sketch Cover At Registration

LOUISVILLE, Ky., October 26, 2015 -- Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) and Skybound, Robert Kirkman 's imprint at Image Comics, today announced that ‘The Crow’ creator James O'Barr has drawn the 22nd in a yearlong series of Limited Edition Exclusive Variant Covers of The Walking Dead #1 comic, to be provided free to all full-price attendees at Wizard World Comic Con Louisville, November 6-8. Skybound’s The Walking Dead created by Kirkman, the groundbreaking, Eisner Award winning comic book series, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

The exclusive The Walking Dead #1 edition will be produced in extremely limited quantities and is available at registration to fans at the Kentucky International Convention Center only while supplies last. VIP attendees will receive an additional black & white sketch version of the comic.

While stationed in Berlin, in the late 70’s O’Barr created The Crow as an attempt to deal with the death of his fiance at the hands of a drunk driver. It took nearly ten years to finish and no publisher was interested in it (“too gloomy, too confusing…”) until, on a whim, Caliber published the first issue in 1989. It is currently the best-selling independent graphic novel of all time at over 1 million copies sold.

In 1993 his book was adapted into the cult film of the same name starring Brandon Lee. O’Barr would like you to know that nearly all of the money made from the film was donated to children’s charities and he had nothing to do with the subsequent 3 sequels or TV show, but he will be a consultant on the new Crow movie that goes into production in 2014.

The artists for future books will be announced as they are selected. A similar series in 2013 featuring exclusives of The Walking Dead #1 proved to be wildly popular with fans. The full schedule of 2015-16 Wizard World shows is available at  http://www.wizardworld.com/wizcon.html.

“The Walking Dead” stars on the Wizard World Comic Con Louisville celebrity roster are Sonequa Martin-Green and Tyler James Williams . August Richards (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”).

TNT hit New York Comic-Con 2015 this week with three of its hot fall shows. On Thursday, Sean Bean and executive producerKen Biller screened the first episode of the completely reimagined spy thriller Legends. On Friday, Rebecca Romijn and the cast of The Librarians took the stage with executive producer Dean Devlin to talk about the second season of the blockbuster hit. AndJeff Hephner popped in to introduce and sneak peek of TNT's roller-coaster spy drama Agent X. Below are highlights from each of the events.

Legends Screening & Panel Session,
With Star Sean Bean and Executive Producer Ken BillerSean Bean and executive producer Ken Biller earned a standing ovation following a screening of the season premiere of TNT's completely reimagined spy thriller Legends Thursday at New York Comic-Con. The series is set to return on Monday, Nov. 2, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), with each episode available across TNT's mobile and digital platforms the day after it airs. Here are some highlights from TNT's Legends panel session:

"Speaking Russian is quite difficult. I spent a lot of time in Crimea, so I was quite familiar with the accent, but not so much the speaking Russian, because…that's hard."

– Sean Bean on one of the challenges he faced in the new season of Legends

"It's challenging for the audience, but hopefully challenging in a way that's engaging and rewarding."

– Ken Biller on Legends' complex plot and multiple-timeline story

"I approached it more as a novel. I thought it would be interesting to show these different characters – not just Sean's character, but all of the characters – at different points in their lives. I think what's interesting is to watch that evolution. The show asks the question, 'Who are all of these people and how are they different from the person they put out there in the world?'"

– Ken Biller on the multiple stories from different time periods

"If you keep watching and go all the way to episode 10, you will learn who Martin Odum is."

– Ken Biller on the mystery surrounding the main character's identity

"If you make it to episode 10, Morris Chestnut takes his top off."

– Sean Bean's added promise to fans of recurring guest star Morris Chestnut

About Legends
This fall TNT's spy thriller Legends is back with 10 new episodes, but viewers who watched season one will hardly recognize what they’re seeing. The show has been completely re-imagined, with a new supporting cast, exotic locations, and a whole new approach to storytelling. Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings) returns as a covert operative whose world is turned upside down when he discovers that everything he thought he knew about his life has been a lie. In addition to Bean, the new season starsWinter Ave Zoli (Sons of Anarchy), Steve Kazee (Shameless), Aisling Franciosi (The Fall), Kelly Overton (True Blood), Klara Issova (Crossing Lines) and Ralph Brown (Agent Carter). In addition, Morris Chestnut ( Nurse Jackie, Rosewood) will guest-star in several episodes, reprising his role from season one.

Shot on location throughout Europe, including Prague and London, the new season of Legends is slated to launch on TNT Monday, Nov. 2, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). Episodes will be made available across the network's on-demand, digital and mobile platforms the day after their linear premieres. In addition, TNT will stack the entire season of Legends, meaning episodes will remain available on demand throughout the entire season.

The Librarians First Look and Panel Session,
With Stars Rebecca Romijn, Lindy Booth, Christian Kane, John Kim
And John Larroquette, Plus Executive Producer Dean DevlinThe stars of TNT's hit fantasy-adventure The Librarians, including Rebecca Romijn, Lindy Booth, Christian Kane, John Kim andJohn Larroquette, joined executive producer Dean Devlin at New York Comic-Con to give fans a first look at the new season. They also answered questions about the show, which was also celebrated outside with some eye-popping street art. The Librariansreturns with two back-to-back episodes Sunday, Nov. 1, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). Episodes will be made available across TNT digital and mobile platforms the day after they air on the network. Here are some highlights from The Librarians New York Comic-Con panel session:

"I knew he was old, because I'm old. I just didn't realize he was that old."

John Larroquette on his character, Jenkins

"I'm a kid in a candy store on this show. This season I get to dive a little bit deeper into my past."

Christian Kane

"One of the great things about season 2 is that the writers know us better, and together we have been exploring and getting to know the characters better."

Lindy Booth

"We weren't sure we were going to have a second season. We got a season 2 because of you guys."

Christian Kane on The Librarians' huge fan base

"I'm not very well trained as an actor, so it's very difficult for me to do the same thing twice. Fortunately we have Dean and John there, because it starts with a good script, and these guys are great at doing that."

John Larroquette on how much the actors get to contribute to the lines and action

"More often than not, the cast will surprise us and create connections we hadn't anticipated. They're creating the show with us, because they live these characters. They know them better than we do."

Dean Devlin on the contributions the actors make to the show

"Every show wants to be dark and gritty with morally ambiguous characters. I miss a show that the entire family can watch together and a show that generally loves the genre. We're hard-core geeks. We love this as much as Scorsese loves an art film."

Dean Devlin on why he made The Librarians

"This season we've got Fictionals coming to life, so we'll be battling Prospero, James Moriarity, Frankenstein and others."

Rebecca Romijn

"I'm a book nerd, so the idea that these stories that I've read are going to walk into a room with us is really amazing."

Lindy Booth on the use of literary characters in the show

"In season 1, magic came into the world, and the Librarians were trying to put the genie back in the bottle. In season 2, magic is being seen by people. So now it's harder, because they have to try to convince people that they didn't see what they saw."

Dean Devlin

"All the things that once seemed magical, science began to explain."

John Larroquette on the reality of the show's magic

"The special effects are a lot of fun because we get to use our imagination. Instead of a monster trying to eat me, it's our assistant director with a tennis ball on the end of a poll."

John Kim

"What's really fun is that we're seeing this for the first time. When you get to see it November 1, we're seeing it too."

Christian Kane on how the actors don't get to see the special effects during production

"Ezekiel is such a jerk. But he's the jerk who always gets away with everything."

John Kim on his character

"My character was pitched to me as an international man of mystery. I like to think he's Australian because he's a criminal."

John Kim

"They joked that they were going to subtitle all of my dialogue because of my accent."

John Kim, who hails from Australia

"Noah is in about half of this season. Noah also directed an episode, and it's one of our best ones."

Dean Devlin on Noah Wyle's role in front of and behind the camera

"Maybe…"

Rebecca Romijn on whether there will be any romantic entanglements this season

"I've done a lot of stuff, but nothing as much fun as The Librarians."

Dean Devlin

NYCC 2015: VAN JENSEN BRINGS ALL-NEW PROJECTS TO DARK HORSE

10/9/2015

DARK HORSE TO PUBLISH JENSEN’S CREATOR-DRIVEN ORIGINAL SERIES IN 2016

In 2016, fan-favorite Green Lantern Corps and The Flashscribe Van Jensen brings a new lineup of creator-driven original series to Dark Horse Comics—and you won’t believe what he plans to tackle first.

They were the gunmen on the grassy knoll.
They conducted the Philadelphia Experiment.
They found the ship that crashed in Roswell—and its pilots.
They allowed the Japanese to attack Pearl Harbor. They faked the moon landing.
For ages, they have worked in the shadows, controlling the fate of the world. But now, they are being hunted.

In Cryptocracy, Jensen teams with Action Comics artist Pete Woods for a deep exploration into the secret society behind every major conspiracy in history—and why they’re suddenly being killed. Coming May 2016, the series combines Jensen’s profound story with Woods’s dynamic art for a story that shouldn’t be missed.

Then, in September 2016, Jensen gets back to his roots as a crime reporter for Two Dead, a collaboration with legendary March artist Nate Powell.

On a snowy New Year’s Day, 1947, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Police Chief O. N. Martin gunned down his lieutenant, Jack Deubler, and then killed himself. The threads of crime, conspiracy, violence, racism, and madness that led to this tragic true-crime case of murder-suicide are retraced in Two Dead, which follows in the footsteps of true-crime epics such as Green River Killer.

Look forward to seeing these new stories in 2016!

We've got that in Previews this month (OCT151704) as well as Jennie Wood and Jeff McComsey's Flutter, vol.1 (OCT151705) and the collected trade of David Liss and Allen Byrns' Angelica Tomorrow as well (OCT151703)
