BOOM! Studios Announces 'Over the Garden Wall' #1 Exclusive and Signings for 2015 Baltimore Comic-Con

Following last week’s announcement that it will exhibit at Baltimore Comic-Con, which will take place at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland during the weekend of September 25-27, award-winning comic book publisher BOOM! Studios is pleased to announce its signing schedule and an Over the Garden Wall #1 variant exclusive.

 BOOM! will have available for purchase at its booth a limited-edition Baltimore Comic-Con variant for Over the Garden Wall #1 with a cover illustrated by Roger Langridge (Abigail and the Snowman, Jim Henson’s The Musical Monsters of Turkey Hollow). Written by Pat McHale and illustrated by Jim Campbell, the issue is the first in a new four-issue mini-series based on Cartoon Network’s hit television original.

 The following signings will take place at the BOOM! Studios booth #2001 during the weekend:

 Saturday, September 26

12:30-1:30pm Actor Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon A Time) and writer Matthew Daley will be signing Lantern City comics after their panel

 Sunday, September 27

12-1pm Mark Waid (Strange Fruit, Irredeemable) and J.G. Jones (Strange Fruit)

 3-4pm Chris Miskiewicz (Thomas Alsop) and Jonathan “Swifty” Lang (Plunder) will be signing after their panel

 Raphael Sbarge, who stars in ABC’s Once Upon a Time, will also be available for autographs and photos from 2-5pm on Saturday, September 26 in a designated Celebrity Autograph Area off the floor. Fans can consult the Baltimore Comic-Con program guide for the precise location.

 At its booth, BOOM! will also host artist Brooke A. Allen (Lumberjanes), who will be sketching all weekend. For $30, fans can purchase a customized illustration of their choice by Allen on a blank sketch cover of a Lumberjanes comic.

This December, Hellcat makes the leap from fan-favorite guest star to fan-favorite headliner in PATSY WALKER, A.K.A. HELLCAT!

Written by Kate Leth (Adventure Time) and with art by Brittney Williams (Lumberjanes), PATSY WALKER, A.K.A. HELLCAT!  will spotlight this modern-day superhero who refuses to say NO to any adventure even if it does prove to be more than what she can handle.

“I want to continue the thread of her being the kind of girl who calls you up out of the blue and you always say yes, because it's an adventure,” says Leth.  “She's a super hero martial-arts wiz that can sense mystical energy! She learned how to fight on the moon, so you KNOW she's good at what she does and has the history to back it up.”

Beginning her heroic career with the Avengers and then becoming a core member of the Defenders, Hellcat’s new series will be inviting readers into a no-nonsense journey following this kick-ass super hero as she tries to make a name for herself alongside some of the most powerful Marvel heroines around.

“With this series, Kate and Brittney are going to provide a unique spin on the super hero, providing readers with a Patsy Walker who is both supremely relatable and supremely awesome,” says editor Wil Moss. “And look for guest appearances by all of Marvel’s top female heroes, including She-Hulk, Kate Bishop, Captain Marvel and maybe even the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl!”

September 9,  2015 - Los Angeles, CA - Award-winning comic book publisher BOOM! Studios is excited to announce it will once again return to the Charm City to exhibit at Baltimore Comic-Con, which will take place at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland, during the weekend of September 25-27.

 BOOM! can be found at booth number 2001 and will host artist Brooke A. Allen (Lumberjanes) and writer Matthew Daley (Lantern City) all weekend.
