TONAWANDA, NY (May 14, 2019): Creation.Ink brands Sleeping Giant Collectables and sister company Ominous Press will have an impressive presence at this weekend’s Nickel City Con in Buffalo, NY. Set up in a huge booth measuring 20 feet by 20 feet at space #101, Sleeping Giant will offer a wide array of collectables including rare, signed and graded comics, variant covers, and much, much more.
Sleeping Giant will also be the exclusive provider of CGC services, including witnessing, for Nickel City Con. Anyone wishing to have comics graded or signatures witnessed should make their way to booth #101.
The full range of Ominous Press publications will also be available, from the Black Book series of art books featuring the work of Jim Starlin, Graham Nolan, Bart Sears, and Andy Smith, to Jim Starlin’s illustrated “Mindgames” hardcover, the graphic novels “Beast of the Black Hand” and “Demi-God,” as well as its full range of comics.

Presented by Dave and Adam’s, and held at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Centre in downtown Buffalo, Nickel City Con is upstate New York’s largest pop culture convention. This year’s special guests include actors Drea De Matteo, Aida Turturro, and Federico Castelluccio of “Sopranos” fame (Sunday only), wrestler Kevin Nash, rocker Marky Ramone, Linda Blair (“The Exorist”), Red Power Ranger Jason Faunt, and many more. Comic guests include legendary painter Joe Jusko, artists Francis Manapul, Graham Nolan, Meghan Hetrick, Marcus To, and an entire Artist’s Alley of talent.
