Bloodsucking Bastards takes audiences on a hilarious, blood-spattered roller coaster ride in the most terrifying locale of all: the American workplace. The film stars Fran Kranz as Evan Sanders, a low-level, dutiful employee stuck in a boring job at a soul-killing every corporation. Evan’s the kind of guy who does all the work and gets none of the credit, but at least he gets to spend his days with his beautiful co-worker/girlfriend Amanda (Emma Fitzpatrick) and his slacker best friend Tim (Joey Kern), so he soldiers on in the hope of one day getting his coveted sales director position.

Unfortunately, it all falls apart in one fell swoop when Amanda breaks up with him and Evan’s boss Ted (Joel Murray) hands his promotion to his college nemesis Max (Pedro Pascal). And it isn’t just their sordid past Evan has to deal with. After his fellow officemates start going through disturbing changes (which, paradoxically, make them better employees) and bodies begin to pile up, Evan learns the horrible truth: Max is a vampire. And even worse… a vamp with a plan.

Evan must find a way to stop the evil brewing amidst the cubicles, expose Max as the bloodsucking bastard that he is, and save his pals before his life and career go from dead-end…to just dead.

Directed by Brian James O’Connell and penned by the popular comedy troupe Dr. God and Ryan Mitts, Bloodsucking Bastards recently made its world premiere as the opening night film at the Slamdance Film Festival 2015.

FRAN KRANZ (EVAN) has been working consistently as a professional actor since he was in high school. He most recently starred opposite Rose Byrne and James Earl Jones in the acclaimed revival of You Can’t Take It With You on Broadway. Fran will join Al Pacino in David Mamet’s China Doll on Broadway this Fall 2015. He will be seen in Mojave, written and directed by William Monahan and starring Oscar Isaac, Mark Wahlberg, and Garret Hedlund, which screened at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival.

Fran also has starring roles in Bloodsucking Bastards and The Living opposite Kenny Wormald and Chris Mulkey and directed by Jack Bryan. Kranz’s other feature credits include the Lionsgate feature Cabin in the Woods, produced and co-written by Joss Whedon and directed by Drew Goddard, the Gillian Greene directed Murder of a Cat, Joss Whedon’s adaptation ofShakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, The Truth about Lies, Training Day, Orange County, Matchstick Men, The Village, Diary of a Wimpy Kid Part 2, The TV Set, and Last Weekend. From the time he landed a leading role in his 9th grade play, Fran was hooked on acting. He continued his theater work at Harvard-Westlake School and also attended the Oxford Tradition program where he won a Best Actor Award for his portrayal of ‘Petruchio’ in The Taming of the Shrew. Fran went on to Yale University where he was a member of the improv troupe “The Ex!t Players”. While there, he also performed in such plays as Angels in America, Bright Room Called Day, Henry IV, Anthony & Cleopatra, and Twelfth Night. Fran starred in the critically acclaimed play Bachelorette at Second Stage Uptown in New York. Fran made his Broadway debut alongside Phillip Seymour Hoffman & Andrew Garfield in Death of a Salesman, directed by Mike Nichols and winner of the 2012 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

When it premiered in 2011, HELL ON WHEELS was credited for helping to modernize the Western genre.  "Imbued with epic sweep[1]", the series tells the story of post-Civil War America and of Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount), a soldier who sets out to exact revenge on the Union soldiers who have killed his wife.  When his journey takes him west to Hell on Wheels, a lawless melting pot of a town that travels with and services the construction of the railroad, the lavishly-produced series gathers steam, and introduced characters and plotlines that have helped the Western drama become one of AMC's top-rated series -- and underscores just how  uncivilized the business of civilization can be.

Season Three of HELL ON WHEELS ended with Cullen married to a pregnant Naomi and living in a Mormon fort where the Swede (Christopher Heyerdahl) was impersonating church leader, Bishop Dutson; Thomas "Doc" Durant (Colm Meaney) back in control of the Union Pacific Railroad which had successfully expanded westward to Cheyenne; and Elam (Common), gravely injured by a bear while searching for the missing Cullen.  And, as HELL ON WHEELS: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON unfolds on blu-ray and DVD exclusively from Entertainment One (eOne), civilization makes its way west with the railroad, bringing with it men who attempt to do with their pens what rougher men did in seasons past with their guns.  Conflict between government and big business, ranchers, homesteaders and the railroad will continue to define the drama as all of those interests compete with one another for control of Cheyenne, Wyoming, the "Magic City of the Plains", and the most important railroad hub in the country.
