Studios today revealed a first look at a surprise one-per-store Retailer Thank You variant cover by acclaimed artist Diego Galindo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) for FCBD 2021 Just Beyond: Monstrosity #1 a special issue previewing JUST BEYOND: MONSTROSITY, the newest graphic novel from R.L. Stine, the award-winning, bestselling author of Goosebumps and Fear Street, artist Irene Flores (Heavy Vinyl), colorist Joana LaFuente, and letterer Mike Fiorentino. This graphic novel is set in the world of the R.L. Stine’s highly acclaimed middle grade supernatural series Just Beyond, which inspired the upcoming Disney+ original series, debuting October 13, 2021.

JUST BEYOND: MONSTROSITY will be published through the company’s award-winning KaBOOM! imprint, where R.L. Stine established himself as one of the most important voices in horror for a new generation. The series was soon adapted as a hit TV series and recently returned as a blockbuster film starring Jack Black in 2015 from Sony/Columbia Pictures, with a sequel released in 2018. PORTLAND, Ore. 03/17/2021 — Image Comics is pleased to announce that the long-running, fan-favorite Steampunk adventure series--Lady Mechanika by Joe Benitez—has found a new home at the publisher. The adventure begins with an Image Comics FCBD 2021 edition of the first appearance of the character available at participating comic shops on Saturday, August 14 and then a new Lady Mechanika story launching this September from Image. 


The entire backlist of Lady Mechanika will be made available from Image Comics too, beginning this August with the long anticipated reprints of the volume one trade paperback and hardcover editions. These reprints will join a total of seven trade paperbacks and five hardcover editions of the beloved series.

In Lady Mechanika, readers follow a young woman during the Victorian Era who is desperately in search of the secrets to her past—a past that left her with extraordinary, but unnatural, mechanical limbs.

"I’m very excited that Lady Mechanika is moving to Image!" said Benitez. "We hope this move will provide an opportunity to share the series with a new, wider audience, and also give us more time to focus on our creative strengths while letting the experts at Image handle publishing and marketing. THE FOX & LITTLE TANUKI, by Mi Tagawa
The second title to be previewed in the comic is The Fox & Little Tanuki (Mi Tagawa), an animal filled journey into Japanese folklore. In this fantastical setting, the gods appoint certain animals to be trained as apprentices to assist them in resolving human dilemmas, bestowing on them special powers. Fans will instantly be captivated by the adorable artwork and cuteness of Japan’s native animal species, and the fascinating glimpse into ancient fantasy storytelling.

After 300 years, the gods that imprisoned Senzou the Fox Spirit for his arrogance finally set him free. There is only one condition — he can't have any of his supernatural abilities back until he successfully helps a tanuki cub named Manpachi become one of their magical assistants. Unfortunately for Senzou, there's no cheating when it comes to completing his task! The magic beads around his neck make sure he can't wander too far from his charge or shirk his duties, and so... Senzou the once-great Fox Spirit must now figure out how to be an actually-great babysitter to a mischievous little tanuki or risk being stuck without his powers forever!
