This whole thing is just freaky good stuff. I mean we've got a serial killer running around town a bounty hunter who does it for fun and is unlicensed to do it who also happens to be a weregator. It all sounds a little too bizarre to be true but I reassure you it's well worth your time to find out how all the craziness works beautifully together.
I do like the way this issue opens up It's dirty and raunchy and all kinds of funny cool. Why because of how it all plays out as the writing here is pretty darn impressive. There's sex, humour and characterisation all going on and lest we forget some great interaction and some decent reveals. While the sex was kind of hot c'mon some man butt or peen shot would've been nice I mean after all that was a rather compromising position.
The more I see of this world the more I'm loving it. If you need an example just take a gander at the whole scene at the police station. From the fact they don't appreciate certain types of language to Alice and her distaste of Laurent it's one of the best scenes you are going to see. So much emotion, so much characterisation and so much attitude that you are sucked into this in ways you cannot fathom. It makes me want to see this play out on the small screen so are A&E & AMC listening to what people want!
Vanesa is a dream come true with her work on the interiors here. The use of backgrounds is amazing to see and the mood and feel they bring to each panel really has a great impact on how I see the story. How page layouts are utilised through their angles and perspective shows off a fantastic eye for storytelling. She has a unique style that is able show an emotional range that helps you feel and understand what's going on more fully.
Oh my stars and garters that guy in the boat and what happens from there sweet mother of Pearl Bailey. From seeing that adorable little shit and what he brings to the story isn't measurable at all. Stole ever panel that he was in with his presence and who knew that was going to happen? Good lord have mercy that scene with Bridget well hell I don't know how much more of that I can take because sensual, seductive, crazy hot and all around arousing. It's like you have to take a moment to fan yourself with your hand to cool off a minute.
As Bridget is there to take the naked man into the station everything goes awry. Well honestly what did we expect things can't go easy for anyone and this dude was naked in a boat singing to himself so it was obvious the nutjob wasn't going to cooperate. With what happens though yeah Laurent gets himself worked up but well and good by it all. Then that adorable little shit yeppers he does go and steal the thunder so to speak. I was laughing hysterically out loud scaring my cats with that I'll have you know.
Alright so we got the man butt and a crack at the goodies. I mean I cannot get over how this just grabs your attention doesn't let go and is able to pretty much hypnotise you. The eyes in the swamp glowing yellow pop in a way that you find yourself just staring at them.
Good Grief Charlie Brown you will find your senses overloaded with everything they bring to this book and it will leave you gasping for more!
