They say with age comes wisdom and whoever said it was right. Once upon a time i’d have said this was stupid and had no place in my life, god I was a pretentious twat lol. This is all kinds of sheer audacity wrongness that it’s so completely right.
The opening had me completely, drive the cars posting to Facebook, Tweeting and Texting all to be set up by the sharks and then become their snacks. Yeah I was cheering actually because if that’s how you drive then you deserve to go that way! Still I thought it was hysterical and i’m so glad I found my inner childhood style humour.
Well we left the gang surrounded by sharks in the grass, yes very much like circling velociraptors in Jurassic Park. The bus and the passengers flying out the windows drew them away and it looks like Kyle and Lorraine might have a very romantic moment. Poor Kyle had his hands eaten off and now he has to pee, I can’t I just can’t it made me laugh out loud and scare my cat and I kind of peed a little.
When a plan to lure the sharks off a cliff to fall to their doom backfires as they hit the ocean instead there’s one lone Grizzly Shark who’s smarter than average Grizzly Shark and watches from the trees. This is when the epic battle starts as Seabear comes into the picture. What an amazing face off we get between these two. Ryan outdoes himself here both in terms of setting the fight up and executing it visually.
So who is the top predator you’ll have to read the issue to find out. But I’ll say this, this was like watching a Hanna Barbera cartoon on acid. Just the way things went and the imagination Ryan has to pull this off like he did has earned him a whole new level of respect from me.
This is worth everything to me. I’ve never laughed this hard reading a comic book before. It’s insanely funny, completely just as unrealistic as any SyFy made for tv movie and I think you should get an adult diaper to catch the leakage when reading it.
